Parfois le cinéma, même aux US, propose des films qui semblent d’un accès difficile au public américain. Dans le Connecticut, il y a fort longtemps, j’avais vu Marius et Jeannette, un film typiquement marseillais et en V.O.

Sometimes the cinema, even in the US, offers films that are not in the main stream culture to the American public. In Connecticut, a long time ago, I had seen Marius and Jeannette, a film typically from Marseille, with the original soundtrack.

Ce soir, je sors d’un petit cinéma d’Art et d’Essai, non loin de chez Susan, où était projeté un film beau et émouvant.

Tonight, I come out of a small Art House cinema (in French Art et Essai), not far from Susan where was shown a beautiful and moving film.

Juste pour me rappeler qu’à 75 balais, j’ai déjà un pied dans la tombe, avec un gâteau de chez Carvel, nous avons fêté mon anniversaire.

Just to remind me that at the age of 75, I already have a foot in the grave, with a cake from Carvel, we celebrated my birthday.

Comme je ne voyais plus d’Iguanes lors de mes balades le long de la rivière, je suis passé dans l’ancienne résidence de mon pote Claude. J’y avais photographié de superbes individus. Catastrophe, là aussi, point d’Iguanes, ils ont été exterminés, les canards de barbarie occupent désormais le terrain. Il y a fort à parier qu’à la prochaine vague d’extermination, le prix du Magret va s’effondrer.

As I did not see any more Iguanas during my walks along the river, I visited in the former residence of my Buddy Claude where I had photographed, on the property’s grounds, superb individuals. Disaster, there too, no Iguanas, they were exterminated, the Muscovy Ducks now occupy the grounds. It is likely that in the next wave of extermination, the price of Duck Filets will collapse.

En Floride, le manque de compassion à l’égard des infirmes s’exprime ici au grand jour. Les infirmes sont invités ici à subir le supplice de la chaise électrique.

Et de dire qu’en Europe la peine de mort est abolie. Quelle régression.

In Florida, the lack of compassion for the Handicapped is evident here. The Handicapped are invited here to an execution by the electric chair.

Remember that in Europe, the death penalty is abolished. What a regression.
