Un Amour bafoué

L’avenir, c’était mieux avant. Mes origines, mon éducation ont placé les USA sur un piedestale. Soyons clairs, les 40 dernières années l’en ont fait descendre, l’expression actuelle des tendances fascistes, racistes, en sont la cause.

The future was better before. My origins, my education, put the US on the map as the Paradise on Earth.. Let’s be clear, the last 40 years have brought it down, the current expression of fascist, racist tendencies are the obvious reason I changed my mind.

Pour une raison qui m’échappe, un passage d’un vieux film de 1935, Ruggles of Red Cap, hantait ma mémoire. Le miracle de l’Internet et des moteurs de recherche m’ont permis de mettre la main sur ce clip et coup de bol, les sous-titres sont en français. Je me dois de le partager avec vous car ce clip, décrit l’Amérique que j’avais rêvée.

For some reason, a passage from an old 1935 film, Ruggles of Red Cap, haunted my memory. The miracle of the Internet and search engines allowed me to get my hands on this clip and luckily for my French followers, the subtitles are in French. I have to share it with you because this clip, describes the America I had dreamed of.

Assholes & Creeps

Lorsqu’à la fin des années 70 je travaillais en Nouvelle Angleterre, un collègue, David Brown, m’a donné à lire un article hilarant qui classifiait l’humanité en deux catégories, « Creeps & Assholes », en traduction libre les introvertis et les extravertis. Cet article, je l’avais perdu, pas oublié. Et par le miracle des moteurs de recherche, j’ai pu le retrouver et je ne résisterai pas au plaisir de le partager avec vous, dans un premier temps dans sa version originale. Promis, je tenterais de le traduire en n’en perdant ni l’esprit ni la verve.
Mais ça, c’est pour plus tard.

When I was working in New England in the late 1970s, a colleague at the workshop, David Brown, gave me a hilarious article that classified humanity into two categories, « Creeps & Assholes », in free translation introverts and extroverts. Even though I had not kept a trace of the article, I thought it was lost but, in my memory, not forgotten. And by the miracle of the search engines, I was able to find it. As a true asshole, I will not resist the pleasure of sharing it with you. For my French speaking readers, I promise, I will try to translate it without losing its spirit or verve.

Surprise Fasciste

Après l’omelette norvégienne, une surprise nous attend au coin des aventures de Pinocchio la Citrouille corrompue.

Lors de l’émeute du 6 janvier 2021, émeute promue par Pinocchio, deux bandes de terroristes, les Oath Keepers et les Proud Boys, se sont mises en avant. L’ordre républicain ayant survécu, ces deux bandes ont été poursuivies. Les Oath Keepers ont déjà été condamnées  pour tentative de coup d’état, « Seditious Conspiracy » en anglais US. Un autre procès tente de faire le point sur les moyens et objectifs insurrectionnels des Proud Boys.

Lors d’un entretien, lorsque Pinocchio est interrogé sur son attitude et sa proximité avec les milices fascistes, il clame « Proud Boys stand back and stand by », en fait une allégeance à la violence à venir. Depuis le lancement des enquêtes sur les émeutes du 6 janvier, toutes les tentatives de la justice pour faire comparaître et témoigner Pinocchio se heurtent aux manœuvres dilatoires de la Citrouille corrompue. Toutefois grâce aux Proud Boys, il risque de se retrouver coincé et être obligé de témoigner.

Jusque là, le procès des Proud Boys se déroulait sans que la presse et les News Channels ne s’en préoccupent. Mais hier, dans le cadre de leur défense, les Proud Boys demandent que Pinocchio, leur grand leader, soit convoqué pour témoigner et prouver que les Proud Boys ne faisaient que suivre les instructions du Chef.

Pinocchio pourra-t-il botter en touche ? Quel bonheur s’il est obligé de témoigner. Cette obligation à témoigner redonne une nouvelle jeunesse à cette exclamation qui possède plusieurs auteurs, « Protégez moi des mes amis, mes ennemis je m’en charge. »

Du sang sur les murs

Dans la nuit précédant la Saint Valentin, un fêlé, encore un, pratique le tir au pigeon sur le campus d’une Université à Lansing Michigan. Ouverture du stand de tir vers 20:00 heure locale. Le lendemain, en cette matinée du 14 février, à l’heure où je déverse mon fiel, le score est de trois morts, tireur compris.

Mais pourquoi suis-je en colère ? Facile, les chaînes d’info vont couvrir ce qu’elles qualifient d’incident pendant une douzaine d’heures. Et cette couverture, au lieu de réfléchir à la place des armes dans la société US, cette couverture pérore et se bauge dans la nature des bâtiments, les mesures prises par la police pour limiter la circulation des étudiants, la description des lieux, du parking… Rien que des informations de la plus haute importance.

Et pendant ce temps, les bientôt cinquante mille morts du tremblement de terre en Turquie et Syrie, la sale guerre de Putin en Ukraine, l’inculpation à venir de Pinocchio la Citrouille obèse et corrompue, les autodafés de livres promus par le gouverneur de Floride, Ron Desantis alias Don Devilis, le virage fasciste de l’Amérique, tout passe au dernier plan.

Et enfin, coup de bol, le tueur est un noir. Après les flics d’élite noirs assassins à Memphis d’un autre noir, soudain, nous les p’tits blancs, on se sent mieux.

And finally, luckily, the killer is a black deranged asshole. After the elite black cops from the Scorpion squadron, the Menphis killers, suddenly, we white folks, we feel better.

Parmi les mythes que promeut le capitalisme, on trouve en tête de liste la réussite personnelle dont le but ultime est de devenir milliardaire. Ce mythe est tenace, mais comme tous les mythes il mérite d’être mis à plat.

Dans mes différents articles, je tente de donner une image soit souriante soit caustique, jamais insultante. Toutefois, cette fois-ci GOOGLE dépasse les limites de la connerie en censurant une parodie irréprochable au plan médical au motif que celle-ci contient des erreurs scientifiques.

C’est pourquoi, comme je suis victime de leur censure, je renomme GOOGLE Googbels, une forme d’allitération qui exprime le fond de ma pensée. Pour rappel, Josef Goebbels était le sinistre de la propagande du criminel Adolf.

Googbels ment à moins que mon attentive lecture de l’objet de la censure aura laissé passer un bug. Si vous le repérez, ne manquez pas de m’en informer.

In my various articles, I try to give an image either smiling or caustic, never insulting. However, this time GOOGLE goes beyond the limits of bullshit by censoring an irreproachable medical parody on the grounds that it contains scientific errors.

Depuis que les bigots de la Cour dite Suprème des US ont redonné aux états la possibilité de légiférer sur le droit des femmes à porter ou non une grossesse à terme, une fois de plus les US sont devenus fous. Les lois promues par des crétins font tout pour interdire aux femmes le choix, et tout signifie que certains proposent la peine de mort en cas d’avortement. Il me semble difficile d’envisager plus stupide.

Since the bigots of the so-called Supreme Court of the US gave back to the states the possibility to legislate on the right of women to carry or not to carry a pregnancy to term, once again the US has gone crazy. The laws enacted by morons do everything to forbid women to choose, and all means that some propose the death penalty in case of abortion. It seems hard to think of anything more stupid.

Petit rappel sur la causalité.
Une femme peut tomber enceinte, seulement et seulement si un partenaire masculin dépose quelques spermatozoides dans un lieu prévu à cet effet. Sans intervention d’un mâle, que celui-ci soit choisi ou non, jamais la femme ne porterait le fruit à venir. Je répète JAMAIS.

Alors pourquoi le législateur, le plus souvent diplomé en droit et rarissimement en obstétrique, embryologie ou gynécologie, s’acharne-t-il à envisager de punir la femme et ignorer la responsabilité du mâle. Ce même législateur se sentirait-il confortablement transporté si, le Commandant de Bord en charge de l’avion dans lequel il se déplace était, en matière de pilotage, aussi compétent que lui en ce qui concerne la médecine.

Au lieu de se référencer à la morale et donc à la religion, deux mythes, je répète mythes, variables dans le temps, ces imbéciles bigots devraient laisser les médecins et autres scientifiques faire leur travail lorsqu’ils écoutent les femmes.

Descendons de notre vélo pour nous regarder pédaler et ne parlons de sujets que si nous les maîtrisons. Dans le cas contraire, en cas d’ignorance, posons des questions. Et pour cette remarque, je remercie André qui m’aura offert un concept bien utile.

Gladiateurs et la Mort

La violence en spectacle a toujours été un puissant moteur. Certains sports en font même un atout pour atirer les foules. Course automobile, Boxe, Guerre, FootBall US, Rugby, notre Foot et même le Basket imposent aux athlètes, qui en font sacerdoce, de pousser les limites et tutoyer la mort. Parfois, la mort n’est pas métaphorique mais bien réelle.

Pratiquer une activité qui inclut le risque de mort dans sa réalisation impose des contre-parties. Ces contre-parties sont la reconnaissance de la société et l’argent. Et en ce qui concerne l’argent, ce ne sont pas les acteurs qui en profitent majoritairement.

Show violence has always been a powerful driver. Some sports even make it an asset for crowds. Racing, Boxing, War, FootBall US, Rugby, our Foot and even Basketball impose on athletes, who make it a priesthood, to push the limits and tutor death. Sometimes death is not metaphorical, but real.

Performing an activity that includes the risk of death in its realization requires counter-parties. These are the recognition of society and most often money. And when it comes to money, it’s not the actors who benefit the most.

En fait de jeu les règles sont claires. Si la reconnaissance et l’argent n’éloignent pas la menace de mort, la reconnaissance et l’argent rendent la mort acceptable.

L’émission la plus regardée à la TV US est le Monday Night FootBall. Diffusée à une heure de grande audience, elle attire les annonceurs comme le miel attire les mouches. Chacun y trouve son compte, les diffuseurs qui vendent de la pub au prix fort, les propriétaires de club qui partagent le butin et les joueurs qui récupèrent de belles miettes mais certainement pas une part de lion.

The most watched show on US TV is the Monday Night FootBall. Broadcast at a time of great audience, it attracts advertisers like honey attracts flies. There is something for everyone, broadcasters who sell advertising at a high price, club owners who share the loot and players who collect nice crumbs but certainly not a lion’s share.

Et en ce lundi 2 janvier, suite à un plaquage, le coeur de Damar Hamlin s’est arrêté. A l’heure où je publie ce texte, aucune information crédible n’a été publiée et pour être parfaitement clair, son décès ou son retour dans le monde des vivants n’est pas l’objet de cette réflexion. L’objet de cette réflexion est le traitement de cet accident par les chaînes de News.

Sans avoir eu à chercher bien loin, en tapant dans le moteur de recherche de YouTube « Damar Hamlin » cette chaîne propose un clip passé sur MSNBC et traité par Rachel Maddow, une journaliste que j’apprécie pour sa lecture de l’actualité politique, lecture le plus souvent portée par l’Histoire.

En tentant de regarder ce clip, je suis frappé par le voyeurisme et l’obscénité du traitement. 

Voyeurisme
Le plaquage et la chute du joueur, donc le début d’une mort possible, passent en boucle. Un passage unique de cette action ne suffisait-il pas ? Il faut croire que non, il est probable que la répétition se substitue à l’analyse.

Traitement obscène
L’émotion fait vendre. La compassion et la prière, ces odieuses méthodes qui permettent d’éviter d’affronter une réflexion sur causes et conséquences, étouffent toute réflexion relevant du Libre-Arbitre. Une analyse sur la banalité de ce choc permet d’accepter la fatalité, donc l’arrêt sans causes réelles du coeur. Et si, après analyse, le choc, par son infinie brutalité, était la cause de l’accident cardiaque, il conviendrait de renforcer les règles du plaquage pas celles de la prière une fois l’accident advenu.

En ce qui concerne les proches, pour ses parents assistaient au match, la compassion et la prière ne changeront rien à leur douleur. En revanche, le traitement médical sur site, son transport vers un hôpital de qualité permettront aux parents, en cas de décès se conforter en acceptant que tout ce qui est humainement possible aura été mis en oeuvre et en cas de retour à la vie se réjouir de la beauté du savoir scientifique et de son exploitation par la société.

In trying to watch this clip, I am struck by the voyeurism and obscenity of the treatment. 

Voyeurism

Liberté / Mensonges / Langage

Les insomnies me font parfois allumer la TV et regarder les émissions qu’offrent la nuit et tout particulièrement CNN. Un docu a particulièrement accroché mon attention, il couvrait les « One Man Show » de comédiens comiques, l’évolution de ceux-ci et les rapports à la société. Un point m’a particulièrement marqué, il montre une immense contradiction de la société US avec la Liberté.

Insomnia sometimes makes me turn on the TV and watch the programs offered at night and especially CNN. A docu particularly caught my attention, it covered the «One Man Show» of comedians, the evolution of these and the relationships to society. One point particularly struck me, it shows an immense contradiction of the US society with Freedom.

Les émissions accessibles gratuitement au public censurent toute une série de mots tels que FUCK, SHIT… Lorsqu’ils sont prononcés, la bande sonore les remplace par des BIPS et si d’aventure ils sont écrits, dans les sous-titres par exemple ils sont écrits F**** ou SH**. La censure est transparente, tous comprennent quels mots sont masqués. 
Le lien suivant éclaire le propos, celui-ci contredit le First Amendment qui garantit la liberté d’expression.

The free programs available to the public censor a whole series of words such as FUCK, SHIT… When they are spoken, the soundtrack replaces them with BIPS and if by chance they are written, in the subtitles for example they are written F**** or SH**. Censorship is transparent, everyone understands which words are masked.

Si les mots dits « Obscènes » sont interdits de plateau, les opinions les plus insupportables elles trouvent leur place et s’expriment sans aucunes limites. Racisme, anti-sémitisme, négationisme de la Shoah, mensonges avérés sont protégés au nom de la liberté d’opinion et d’expression.

En France l’obscénité n’est pas interdite, en revanche les lois mémorielles condamnet la libre expression de certains négationnismes. Cette interdiction si elle permet de museler l’expression d’opinions insupportables, elles limitent aussi, au nom d’une loi qui fige la vérité, la possibilité d’élargir certains aspects de l’Histoire.

Les contradictions, tant en France qu’aux US, sont évidentes. Si les contradictions sont évidentes, les solutions ne le sont pas. Jamais en France le perdant d’une élection n’aura refusé de reconnaître sa défaite. Depuis plus de deux ans, Pinocchio l’Obèse Citrouille clame une impossible victoire qui s’impose depuis la victoire de Biden en 2020. Ce refus d’accepter sa défaite crée un trouble permanent à l’ordre public.

Au nom de la liberté d’expression la justice US se trouve dans l’obligation de rechercher des crimes objectifs, évasion fiscale, incitation à l’insurrection pour simplement l’inculper. Parfois la Liberté absolue conduit à un déni de celle-ci. Heureusement si le temps dissout parfois les responsabilités, les faits sont têtus, la vérité aussi finit par s’imposer.

Dans une démocratie, la Vérité et le Mensonge ne doivent, en aucun cas, être traités et couverts de façon équilibrée. Le mensonge doit être combattu.

The contradictions, both in France and in the US, are obvious. If the contradictions are obvious, the solutions are not. Never in France will the loser of an election have refused to acknowledge his defeat. In a democracy, Truth and Falsehood must not, under any circumstances, be treated and covered in a balanced manner. Falsehood must be fought.

La Fascisme ne passera pas

Lors de ces élections de mi-mandat, avec de bonnes raisons, je voyais les US sombrer définitivement dans le déni de la démocratie. Vrai les signes de la montée du racisme et de l’antisémitisme, les tendances autocratiques, la corruption et le manque de courage d’une partie du personnel politique et judiciaire participaient objectivement à une vision pessimiste de l’avenir.

In these mid-term elections, with good reasons, I saw the US definitively sinking into the denial of democracy. True the signs of the rise of racism and anti-Semitism, autocratic tendencies, corruption and the lack of courage of some of the political and judicial personnel objectively participated in a pessimistic vision of the future.

Les 6 dernières années les US se sont baugées dans la fange du mensonge, du déni de réalité. Cette affirmation concerne la fraction la plus bruyante, la plus religieuse, fraction armée jusqu’aux dents, celle des ruraux. Ceux-ci, bien que minoritaires, au nom d’un mythe religieux fondateur qui affirme « God is on my Side », tentent de restaurer le pouvoir qu’ils ont perdu lors de la Guerre de Cession. Et depuis 2016, cette fraction suivait avec bonheur un autocrate, Conducator, Duce, le sinistre Pinocchio, la Citrouille obèse dont la seule qualité fut de manipuler les médias. Celles-ci, en mal d’audience, comme de clown faisait le spectacle et donc l’audience, les médias refusaient de nommer un chat un chat et donc de le qualifier de fasciste.

Les élections de mi-mandat sont en règle générale un désastre pour la présidence en place. Celles de 2022 auraient dû donner une majorité au parti Républicain, une bande de suivistes qui ont couvert toutes le dérives de Pinocchio. Celui-ci, en bon autocrate, certain de son pouvoir, aura par ses outrances, réussi l’exploit de placer le parti Républicain face à ses responsabilités. 

Désormais à la Chambre le parti Républicain dispose d’une minuscule majorité impossible à unifier. Les élections, pour les Républicains, confirment avec éclat leur perte du Sénat. Les Démocrates disposent, enfin depuis ce matin avec l’élection de Raphel Warnock, d’une réelle majorité. 

Mid-term elections are generally a disaster for the current presidency. Those of 2022 should have given a majority to the Republican Party, a bunch of followers who covered all of Pinocchio’s drift. Now in the House the Republican party has a minuscule and impossible majority to unify. The elections, for the Republican party, confirm brilliantly the loss of the Senate. The Democrats finally have, since this morning with the election of Raphel Warnock, a real majority. 

Si Pinocchio avait été moins stupide, le fascisme aurait dû passer. 

Remercions son incontournable stupidité, cette fois ci, le fascisme n’est pas passé.
