Il y a une semaine, Susan me rejoignait à Paris. Aujourd’hui, le décalage horaire étant digéré, nous avons acheté notre Navigo pour une semaine de transport libre.
Thème du jour « La Rafle du Vel d’Hiv » et l’exposition Cabu.
A week ago, Susan was meeting me in Paris. Today, the jet lag being digested, we bought our Weekly Subway Pass called Navigo for a week of easy, almost free Public Transpostation access.

Chaque visite du Mémorial de la Shoah reste un moment fort. Le mur de déportés rappelle le mur des morts du Vietnam. Une énumération qui souligne que chaque victime n’est pas un nombre, chaque victime fut un individu, une personne unique.
Every visit to the Shoah Memorial remains a powerful moment. The wall of deportees names remind me of the wall of the Washigton’s Vietnam War Memorial. A list that emphasizes that each victim is not a number, each victim was an individual, a unique person.
A la fin de la visite, Susan semblait boulversée. Elle repart avec un souvenir, le livre de Cabu.
The exhibit of the mass arrest of the Paris Jews of mid-July 1942 known as « La Rafle du Vel’Hiv » moved Susan. She left with the Book of Cabu’s drawings.
Avec Susan nous réorganisons l’intérieur de mon Nid d’Ecureuil de Bourg la Reine. Un passage par le Faubourg St Antoine, lieu qui fut la Mecque de l’ameublement, était un pré-requis.
With Susan we reorganize the interior of my Squirrel Nest of Bourg la Reine. A visit through the Faubourg St Antoine, the place that was the Mecca of furniture manufacturing, was a prerequisite.
